We are flicking the switch on the Microphone and heading into another fabulous, life-affirming season of poem, song, music and story!First up – tonight, Nelson Live Poets starts 2024 at Yaza Cafe, 7.00pm. Koha entry. Open mic, refreshments from the bar and an evening of spoken word! Love to see you there. Then, over in Golden Bay The Dangerous Microphone at The Dangerous Kitchen starts up tomorrow! Two special GB Summer Arts Festival events follow. 1. GB Arts Festival Edition of The Dangerous Microphone at The Dangerous Kitchen on Wednesday 24 January. 2. GB Arts Festival presents The Matinee Poets – Emma Callaghan, Jude Zwanikken and Mark Raffills – Sunday 28 January, 3.00pm at the Mussel Inn. Details in this edition of Crumb. Acid on the Microphone starts 2024 at the Mussel Inn on Thursday 15 February with guest poet NEIL BONNER while Moonshine on the Microphone at MAD Cafe kicks off on Thursday 8 February.
