redwood reider kicks off live poets for 2025
GB Bay Live Poets Society is pleased to have Redwood Reider to open their 2025 season. Redwood will be launching their new poetry album ‘Changing My Mind’ at the gig. The album was recorded these past few months in the USA with Crowd Funding support.
Redwood Reider (they/them) is a spoken word poet known for inspiring and uplifting live audiences. Redwood often collaborates on stage with live musicians, weaving poems into musical tapestries. Their rhymes grow out of a deep connection to earth, a love of community and a passion for regeneration of our inner and outer worlds. Redwood has created five recorded albums of poetry with music and has performed extensively at arts venues and festivals across Aotearoa.
For this special performance celebrating the release of Redwood’s album Changing My Mind, Redwood will be joined by their world-travelling collaborator and co-producer Daniel Wander on guitar.

Daniel will open the evening with his original songs and will be followed by a short open mic session (participants can register on the night from 7.00pm) and Redwood and Daniel will take the stage a little after 8.00pm for an hour-long set.
