OPEN MICROPHONE EVENTS IN JULY

The story goes that July is the coldest month. It’s probably true, maybe, as far as the story goes. But who can tell?  We light the fire anyway and gather to its warmth. We sit and tell our own stories way into the night; we sing songs, tell poems and rest in the realisation that we are part of a community that listens to our heart and reflects our stories.

And so to the microphone which will be a little quieter over the next couple of months as our weekly Dangerous Microphone takes a break (last one, featuring Kabra Kadrabra this Wednesday 1 July).

Our monthly events at the Mussel Inn – where myself and Leigh Strange (pictured below) will be the featured guests at Acid on the Microphone  –  and NgAng’s Gallery, will continue through the winter. Details further on.

Let’s tell ourselves good July stories and live our lives accordingly.
